Background: Fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (FSRT) combines the precision of stereotactic positioning with the radiobiologic advantage of dose fractionation.
Methods: From June 1997 to June 2001, 30 patients with cavernous sinus meningiomas were treated with FSRT using fixed noncoplanar conformal fields. Patient skull fixation was achieved using the BrainLAB mask (20 patients) or Beverly frame (10 patients).
