Introduction: Intussusception is the process of invagination of a bowel segment into the adjoining intestinal lumen which may cause bowel obstruction and gangrene. It commonly occurs in infants at a mean age of 9-months with male preponderance. The condition has excellent prognosis if diagnosis is made early and appropriate treatment commenced and mortality rate from intussusception in children can be less than 1%.
