Theranostic nanoparticles for detection and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most recalcitrant cancers due to its late diagnosis, poor therapeutic response, and highly heterogeneous microenvironment. Nanotechnology has the potential to overcome some of the challenges to improve diagnostics and tumor-specific drug delivery but they have not been plausibly viable in clinical settings. The review focuses on active targeting strategies to enhance pancreatic tumor-specific uptake for nanoparticles.

The routine implementation of ultrasound use shifted the possibilities in the operating room, yet more precision is necessary to achieve negative resection margins.

Risk factors for complicated grief among family members bereaved in intensive care unit settings: A systematic review.

Background: Families of intensive care unit (ICU) decedents are at increased risk of experiencing complicated grief. However, factors associated with complicated grief in ICU and bereavement needs assessment are not available routinely. We aimed to conduct a systematic review identifying risk factors associated with complicated grief among family members of ICU decedents.

Durvalumab induced sarcoid-like pulmonary lymphadenopathy.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have become pivotal in the treatment of lung cancer. An increasing number of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) have been recognized with their use. To our knowledge, this is the first published case of sarcoid-like pulmonary lymphadenopathy associated with durvalumab, a monoclonal antibody against programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1).
