Objective: This study aimed to systematically review the available literature on the treatment of patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) involvement.
Study Design: According to the PRISMA statement (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, studies were included until August 2012.
Results: A total of 40 articles were identified.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess temporomandibular function after condylectomy because of unilateral condylar hyperactivity (UCH) by means of standardized diagnostic criteria. The results were compared with those obtained in a control group.
Patients And Methods: In this study, 33 patients with UCH who underwent condylectomy and 31 controls matched for age and gender filled out a history questionnaire and underwent a clinical examination as part of the research diagnostic criteria for temporomandibular disorders.
