This article aims to present the challenges and prospects of transboundary river water conservation and watershed protection in the Upper Blue Nile basin. The River Nile Basin embraces eleven countries shaping their diverse environments and playing a vital role in the livelihoods of its inhabitants. Within this context sharing and managing the River Nile water resources has been a persistent challenge and a potential source of conflict.
