Qualitative assessment of nurse satisfaction in the paediatric cardiac ICU.

The objective of this qualitative assessment, utilising the constant comparative method, was to identify satisfiers and dissatisfiers that influence paediatric cardiac ICU nurse retention and recognise areas for improvement. Interviews for this study were performed in a single, large academic children's hospital from March of 2020 through July of 2020. Each bedside paediatric cardiac ICU nurse underwent a single semi-structured interview.

The Impact of a Gamified Curriculum Using Kahoot! on Musculoskeletal Knowledge and Skill Acquisition Among Pediatric Residents.

Objective: To determine whether a musculoskeletal curriculum involving gamification via Kahoot! (an online classroom response system) was acceptable and more effective at teaching pediatric residents musculoskeletal knowledge and skills than a nongamified curriculum.

Methods: A prospective, randomized controlled trial was conducted at an urban, academic pediatric clinic. All participants received a curriculum that included brief didactics and knowledge questions.

Vanderbilt Head and Neck Symptom Survey version 2.0: report of the development and initial testing of a subscale for assessment of oral health.

Background: The prevalence, severity, and functional implications of adverse oral health outcomes attributed to head and neck cancer therapy are largely undefined. We report development of an oral health outcome subscale for the Vanderbilt Head and Neck Symptom Survey (VHNSS).

Methods: Oral health outcome questions were formulated through literature review and consultation with an expert panel.

In utero or early-life vitamin D deficiency is associated with skeletal problems, type 1 diabetes, and schizophrenia, but the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in U.S. pregnant women is unexplored.
