Background: Pregnancy and early childhood cohorts provide a framework for investigating the complex interplay between early-life exposures and health outcomes, thereby informing prevention strategies and interventions to improve maternal and child health. In this paper, we outline the objectives, methodologies and expected contributions of INSIGHT-2, a comprehensive cohort study dedicated to advancing our understanding of pregnancy and pregnancy complications towards improving the health and well-being of mothers and their offspring.
Methods: Over the course of 5 years, the study aims to establish a diverse cohort of 1700 pregnant women and to follow up their children up to 2 years of age.

Objective: Improving care transitions for older adults can reduce emergency department (ED) revisits, and the strain placed upon caregivers. We analyzed whether caregivers felt a change in burden following a care transition, and what may be improved to reduce it.
Methods: This mixed-methods observational study nested within LEARNING WISDOM included caregivers of older patients who experienced an ED care transition.
Objective: Improving care transitions for older adults can reduce emergency department (ED) visits, adverse events, and empower community autonomy. We conducted an inductive qualitative content analysis to identify themes emerging from comments to better understand ED care transitions.
Methods: The LEARNING WISDOM prospective longitudinal observational cohort includes older adults (≥ 65 years) who experienced a care transition after an ED visit from both before and during COVID-19.
In this work, we synthesized all mono-, di-, and trifluorinated glucopyranose analogues at positions C-2, C-3, C-4, and C-6. This systematic investigation allowed us to perform direct comparison of F resonances of fluorinated glucose analogues and also to determine their lipophilicities. Compounds with a fluorine atom at C-6 are usually the most hydrophilic, whereas those with vicinal polyfluorinated motifs are the most lipophilic.

Objectives: To explore the differences in perception of the medical response to the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings between laypeople and healthcare professionals.
Methods: Commentary accessible and available on Internet discussion websites by non-medically trained persons and in the academic literature by healthcare professionals was analysed qualitatively.
Results: Major themes were found relating to both the pre-hospital and hospital-based phases of the medical response to the disaster.
Permanent activation of the NF-κB pathway by the human T cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1) Tax (Tax1) viral transactivator is a key event in the process of HTLV-1-induced T lymphocyte immortalization and leukemogenesis. Although encoding a Tax transactivator (Tax2) that activates the canonical NF-κB pathway, HTLV-2 does not cause leukemia. These distinct pathological outcomes might be related, at least in part, to distinct NF-κB activation mechanisms.
