(1) Background: Tuberculosis presents an epidemiological trend toward inequality, especially among people in social exclusion and situations of vulnerability. This study aimed to analyze territories with a concentration of people diagnosed with tuberculosis in a street situation and who partake in chronic use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs. We also analyzed trends in this health condition in southern Brazil.

Objective: To verify the prevalence of burnout and its relationship with the academic satisfaction of nursing students in traditional and integrated curricula.

Method: Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, and analytical descriptive study with nursing undergraduates in two public universities. The data were collected in the classroom through a characterization survey, Maslach Burnout Inventory, and the Nursing Student Satisfaction Scale, and analyzed through inferential and descriptive statistics.

Objective To analyze the occurrence, profile and main causes of hospitalization during pregnancy according to the type of childbirth financial coverage. Method A cross-sectional population-based study carried out with puerperal women through a stratified sample, calculated according to the hospital and the type of childbirth financial coverage source: public sector (SUS) or private (not SUS). The sociodemographic profile, the rate of obstetric complications and the causes of hospitalization were analyzed, coded according to International Classification of Diseases.

Method: cross-sectional study with interview of 928 puerperal women whose childbirth was financed by the Unified Health System, health plans and private sources (other sources than the Unified Health System). The sample was calculated based on the births registered in the Information System on Live Births, stratified by hospital and form of financing of the childbirth service.

The aim of this study was to analyze maternal and child health indicators and infant mortality rate (IMR) at the cities located at the 18th Health Division (HD) in Parana State, Brazil. In this ecological study we analyzed all live births and infant deaths which occurred from 2000 to 2009 at the 18th HD, collecting data from the Mortality Information Database and the Live Births Information Database. The variables assessed were grouped into maternal, pregnancy and delivery, and neonatal variables.

Aiming to analyze the spatial distribution and self-correlation of data of mother-child health in Parana, Brazil, variables were selected from the Information System on Live Births, grouped into socioeconomic indicators: teenage mother, low education, high parity, race/color black of newborn; healthcare indicators: the prenatal coverage, prematurity and cesarean delivery and result indicators: low birth weight. The indicators were distributed in thematic maps and spatial self-correlation was measured using Moran's index that quantifies the degree of self-correlation. There was significant spatial self-correlation of teenage mother, low education and high parity of the "high-high" type in the macro-regions East, Campos Gerais and South; of low coverage of antenatal care in Campos Gerais, Central-south and North and of cesarean delivery in the Northwest.
