This study measured and compared levels of some chemokines in patients with rituximab-treated non-Hodgkin lymphoma because they may participate in the mechanism of efficacy of rituximab in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients. Monocytic chemotactant protein-1, RANTES (regulated on activation, normally T-cell expressed and secreted), eotaxin, interleukin-8, neutrophil-activating protein-78, stromal cell-derived factor-1, and growth-regulating oncogene-alpha in patients with rituximab-treated non-Hodgkin lymphoma were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Levels of RANTES were higher in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients than in controls.
