Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a relatively prevalent disease, primarily of a genetic etiology, affecting both sexes and characterized by left ventricular hypertrophy. However, limitations within healthcare systems, socioracial factors, and the issue of underdiagnosis hinder accurate mortality assessments in our region. This study, therefore, aimed to assess the mortality trends associated with HCM in Brazil from 2010 to 2020, with a focus on socioracial factors and healthcare disparities.

The objective of this study was to evaluate microbial leakage by means of genome counts, through the implant-abutment interface in dental implants with different Morse taper abutments. Fifty-six samples were prepared and divided in four groups: CMC TB (14 Cylindrical Implants-14 TiBase Abutments), CMX TB (14 Conical Implants-14 TiBase Abutments), CMX PU (14 Conical Implants-14 Universal Abutment) and CMX U (14 Tapered Implants-14 UCLA Abutments). Probing depth, clinical attachment level, bleeding on probing, and marginal bone level were also evaluated over time and correlated with biofilm formation.
