The rising incidence of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) has been leading to the development of alternative antifungal therapies. This study aimed to develop a topical chitosan-oleic acid nanoparticle (CH-OA-NP) cream loaded with lemon peel essential oil (LPEO) for VVC treatment. The characterization of the optimal nanoparticle formulation (F4: 10 g/L CH, 2:1 OA/LPEO ratio) showed high encapsulation efficiency, stability, and controlled release.

Due to the lack of efficacious therapies, this study endeavors to enhance DN therapeutic effectiveness of ferulic acid (FRA), a natural phenolic with poor oral bioavailability, by developing a transdermal kidney-targeted spanlastic formulation. Spanlastics (SP) nanovesicles were prepared using Span 60 and Labrasol or Brij35 as edge activators (EA).

The goal of our study was to assess the ability of curcumin nanoparticles to cure a rat burn model. Three formulations were selected after several tests were performed including investigation of encapsulation efficiency, particle size and zeta potential measurements.

The present work aims to formulate a novel organogel preparation that can achieve efficient topical folic acid (FA) delivery to cure inflammation from acute exposure to UV sunlight. The organogels were prepared by direct melting and stirring on a magnetic stirrer.

Methods: In this prospective study, the PAI was applied to 100 third-trimester pregnant women with at least one previous cesarean delivery (CS) and anterior low-lying placenta or placenta previa. PAI score was calculated based on placental location, number of CS, abnormal placental lacunae, sagittal smallest myometrial thickness (SSMT), and bridging vessels.
The present work is designed to achieve efficient localised skin delivery of folic acid (FA)-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) to infer efficient treatment of skin photoageing conditions induced via excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. FA NLCs were prepared by high-speed homogenisation followed by ultrasonication. The obtained NLCs revealed high encapsulation efficiencies (89.
