Numerous studies have demonstrated the benefits of amlodipine and perindopril combination therapy in decreasing blood pressure and improving outcomes for high-risk patients. In order to assess the pharmacokinetics of the 2 drugs along with perindoprilat; the active metabolite of perindopril, a simultaneous LC-MS/MS quantification method of amlodipine (AML), perindopril (PER) and perindoprilat (LAT) in human plasma has been developed and validated using amlodipine D4, perindopril D4 and perindoprilat D4 as internal standards (ISs), respectively. A simple and fast protein precipitation method was used to analyze the three analytes from KEDTA human plasma.

Purpose: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a chronic autoimmune illness that results in loss of pancreatic beta cells and insulin insufficiency. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are linked to immune system functions contributing to the pathophysiology of T1D, miRNA-375 is significantly expressed in the human pancreas and its circulatory levels might correspond to beta cell alterations. Pancreatic islet cell antibodies (ICA) and Glutamic acid decarboxylase antibodies (GADA) have roles in autoimmune pathogenesis and are predictive markers of T1D.

This study delves into catalytic aquathermolysis to enhance the economic viability of heavy oil production by in-situ upgrading technique. It is known that introducing nanocatalysts would promote the aquathermolysis reaction. Therefore, in this study, the effect of matrix polymer carboxyl methyl cellulose/silicate graphene oxide nanocomposites (CSG1 and CSG2) in the catalytic aquathermolysis of Egyptian heavy crude oil was studied.

Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are biologically inspired algorithms designed to simulate the way in which the human brain processes information. In sample preparation for bioanalysis, liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) represents an important step with the extraction solvent selection is the key laborious step. In the current work, a robust and reliable ANNs model for LLE solvent prediction was generated which could predict the suitable solvent for analyte extraction.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Herbs of the genus Juniperus (family Cupressaceae) have been commonly used in ancestral folk medicine known as "Al'Araar" for treatment of rheumatism, diabetes, inflammation, pain, and fever. Bioassay-guided isolation of bioactives from medicinal plants is recognized as a potential approach for the discovery of novel drug candidates. In particular, non-addictive painkillers are of special interest among herbal phytochemicals.

The natural gas production industry faces the problem of the proper disposal of produced water and its treatment with significantly advanced technologies to meet the minimum quality standard for irrigation activities, commercial purposes, and consumption by living organisms. This study describes an effective method for reducing the COD (chemical oxygen demand) content in formation water using different metal oxide nanoparticles such as iron oxide (FO), iron zinc oxide (FZO), and iron vanadium oxide (FVO) nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were synthesized and fully characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, dynamic light scattering particle size (DLS) analysis and zeta potential analysis.

Background: The endocrine system of vitamin D regulates about 3 % of the human genome. Vitamin D exerts its actions via a nuclear vitamin D receptor (VDR) which in turn regulates insulin secretion from the pancreas. VDR gene polymorphisms could have an impact on how autoimmune illnesses like Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) develop.

Three-levels Box-Behnken design was used in the experimental design approach for the optimization of chromatographic parameters to achieve the optimum resolution and sharp peak shape within a reasonable run time. A method that is sensitive, reliable, and selective was constructed and validated for the simultaneous measurement of a combination therapy that contains blood-thinning and cholesterol-lowering compounds. The four cited drugs namely, aspirin (ASP), clopidogrel (CLP), atorvastatin (ATV) and rosuvastatin (ROS) were estimated in bulk and in pharmaceutical dosage forms in line with International Council for Harmonization guidelines.

The green profile of the developed method is assessed and compared with previously reported methods. Percutaneous coronary intervention is a procedure where a catheter is utilized to place a stent in order to facilitate opening of the blood vessels in the heart. Triple antithrombotic therapy includes oral anticoagulation as warfarin and dual antiplatelet therapy (composed of aspirin and clopidogrel bisulfate).

A novel simple, specific, sensitive, accurate and precise reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method (RP-HPLC/UV) was developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of Glycopyrronium bromide (GLY), Indacaterol acetate (IND) and Mometasone furoate (MOF) in pure form, in laboratory prepared mixtures and in pharmaceutical dosage form. Experimental design methodology was applied by using Plackett-Burman and face-centered composite designs to achieve the best resolution with minimum experimental trials. The designed model was statistically analyzed, graphically presented by surface plots and the relationships between coefficients of the derived polynomial equations were interpreted.

A brand-new class of anti-infective drugs that work against bacteria, viruses, and protozoan parasites is nitazoxanide and related thiazolides. Thiazolides have also been shown to cause cell cycle arrest and apoptotic cell death in cancer cells in recent years. In this study, an eco-friendly, spectrofluorimetric technique that is verified, easy, and sensitive has been proposed for quantifying nitazoxanide (NTZ), a broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug.
