This study delves into catalytic aquathermolysis to enhance the economic viability of heavy oil production by in-situ upgrading technique. It is known that introducing nanocatalysts would promote the aquathermolysis reaction. Therefore, in this study, the effect of matrix polymer carboxyl methyl cellulose/silicate graphene oxide nanocomposites (CSG1 and CSG2) in the catalytic aquathermolysis of Egyptian heavy crude oil was studied.

This study describes an effective method for reducing the COD (chemical oxygen demand) content in formation water using different metal oxide nanoparticles such as iron oxide (FO), iron zinc oxide (FZO), and iron vanadium oxide (FVO) nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were synthesized and fully characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, dynamic light scattering particle size (DLS) analysis and zeta potential analysis.

The variance in dust density from point to point raises the risk of forming hot spots. Therefore, a prepared PDMS/SiO2 nanocoating was used to reduce the accumulated dust on the PV panels' surface.

A novel visible-light-sensitive ZnVFeO photocatalyst has been fabricated by the precipitation method at different pH values for the enhanced photocatalytic degradation of malachite green (MG) dye as a representative pollutant under visible light irradiation at neutral pH conditions. The structure and optical characteristics of the prepared photocatalysts were investigated by XRD, FTIR, N2 adsorption-desorption, TEM, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and photoluminescence (PL) analyses. In addition, the photocatalytic activity of ZnVFeO photocatalysts superior the efficiency to be more than that of the mono and bi-metal oxides of iron and iron zinc oxides, respectively.

The traditional therapy has many adverse effects in addition to the developing resistance. So, this necessitates finding effective natural alternatives.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTrichinellosis is a zoonotic disease that endangers human health and can lead to death. Restricted absorption and poor results of conventional therapies demand new effective natural remedies to treat both enteral and parenteral trichinellosis. This study assessed the antiparasitic and anti-inflammatory effects of Citrus limon and Capsicum frutescens on murine trichinellosis and compared them with those of albendazole and prednisolone, which are conventionally used to treat trichinellosis.
