Background: Inadequate acute postoperative pain management is linked to the effect on the stress response and development of chronic pain. A unique regional anaesthetic method that is becoming more important for postoperative pain management is erector spinea plane block (ESP). Since its initial description, physicians have questioned weather this novel easy method can take the place of paravertebral block (PVB).

External viral co-infections are suspected to play a role in HERV transactivation. This study aimed to investigate the expression of HERV-K np9 elements and HERV-R env gene in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients.

The local strain, previously identified as Athelia rolfsii TEMG MH 236106 produced an appreciable amount of scleroglucan using glucose as a carbon source and yeast extract as a nitrogen source. Plackett-Burman design was employed to effectively screen critical medium composition, culture, and fermentation conditions.

The clinical outcome of lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is quite heterogeneous. The purpose of this observational study was to investigate the clinical merit of measuring plasma galectin-9 and CXCL-13 concentrations as predictors of CLL activity, prognosis, and early indicators of therapeutic response. These biomarkers were compared with other prognostic indicators, progression-free survival (PFS), time to first treatment (TTT), and overall survival (OS) over a follow-up period (4 years).

FI in newborns can be a sign of a variety of problems, ranging from minor, self-limiting illnesses to serious ones. Many causes are found to cause FI such as low intestinal motility, bacterial colonization, hormonal response, and local immunity response.

During the early stages of vaccination in Egypt, the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 and BBIBP-CorV vaccines were the most distributed. The aim of this study was to compare the immune responses and short-term efficacies of these two vaccines.

Identification of such changes is suitable for the recognition of tumors at an early stage, which would significantly improve patient survival. While recent studies have identified that SPG20 and STK31 expression levels increase in CRC tissues, their use as a biomarker is yet to be investigated.

Objective: This investigation aimed to identify predictors of repeat infections of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae and drug resistance in cancer patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) in Upper Egypt.
This study aimed to assess the possible correlation between mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) gene expression and sperm DNA damage among infertile patients with and without varicocele. The study included sixty infertile males and fifty fertile males as controls. The infertile group was subdivided into the following subgroups: thirty males with varicocele and thirty males without varicocele.

Symmetrical and asymmetrical 3,6-diarylazo-2,5,7-triaminopyrazolo[1,5-]pyrimidine were synthesized by the conventional method and also subjected to microwave irradiation and under ultrasound conditions. The biological results revealed that most of the tested compounds proved to be active as antibacterial and antifungal agents.

We aimed to assess the dynamic changes in the peripheral T lymphocytes and lymphocytes infiltrating the esophageal mucosa after treatment with proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) in patients with GERD.
Patients And Methods: A total of 200 patients who presented with upper GIT symptoms were included in this prospective study.
Background And Objectives: Major abdominal cancer surgeries are associated with significant perioperative mortality and morbidity due to myocardial ischemia and infarction. This study examined the effect of perioperative patient controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) on occurrence of ischemic cardiac injury in ischemic patients undergoing major abdominal cancer surgery.
Patients And Methods: One hundred and twenty patients (American Society of Anesthesiologists grade II and III) of either sex were scheduled for elective upper gastrointestinal cancer surgeries.
