Malignant Diffuse-Type Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor in the Subcutaneous Tissue of the Midthigh: A Report of a Rare Tumor in an Unusual Location.

Malignant TS-GCT is an extremely rare and aggressive tumor with only few cases published in the literature, due to the small number of cases is not completely understood and is diagnostically challenging. Although surgical treatment is the primary treatment modality, there is no consensus regarding adjuvant treatment. Regardless of mode of treatment, the tumor still caries unfavorable prognosis.

Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa of the Finger: A Case Report.

Introduction: Macrodystrophia lipomatosa is a rare benign condition characterized by a progressive persistent proliferation of the mesenchymal components and elements, with a disproportionate increase in fibro-adipose tissue. It causes a debilitating functional and psychological effect on the patient and his family.

Case Presentation: A 25-years-old male patient presented complaining of left middle finger swelling which was painless and progressive in size with no restriction of range of motion.

A novel surgical approach to lipomatous tumours of the deltoid region.

Resection of large lipomatous tumours in the subdeltoid region remains technically challenging due to the risk of injury to the axillary neurovascular bundle. We describe a novel deltoid release and reinsertion technique for resection of large lipomatous tumours of the sub-deltoid region and report the functional and oncologic outcomes of six patients who underwent this procedure. Three cases were diagnosed histologically as atypical lipoma and three cases were diagnosed as lipoma.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of oncologic outcomes of pre- versus postoperative radiation in localized resectable soft-tissue sarcoma.

Background: The goal of this study was to determine the oncologic outcomes in localized resectable soft-tissue sarcoma after pre- versus postoperative radiation.

Methods: Literature searches through MEDLINE, EMBASE, CancerLit, and the Cochrane Database were performed with the following search terms: sarcoma, radiation, preoperative, and postoperative. Two reviewers independently assessed all eligible publications with the Detsky Quality Scale for Randomized Trials and the Newcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale for case-control studies.
