is an important foodborne pathogen causing listeriosis. , existing in the natural environment, can also contaminate food products, which poses a serious threat to human health and life, especially for high-risk groups: pregnant women, newborn babies, and the elderly. Environmental adaptation of refers to the various strategies and mechanisms used by this bacterium to survive and thrive in diverse and often hostile environments that include, among others, toxic heavy metals and disinfectants.

Therefore, this study aims to investigate strains isolated from clinical and food samples for susceptibility to antimicrobials, presence of virulence factors, and genetic diversity.

The observed trend of searching for natural and authentic taste encourages many producers to craft products from raw milk, including Koryciński cheeses. The aim of this study was to assess the microbiological hazards resulting from the presence of pathogenic bacteria in Koryciński cheeses available in retail trade.

Material And Methods: Samples were collected by Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations within the framework of the national official control and monitoring sampling programme in Poland.
Silent genes are DNA sequences that are generally not expressed or expressed at a very low level. These genes become active as a result of mutation, recombination, or insertion. Silent genes can also be activated in laboratory conditions using pleiotropic, targeted genome-wide, or biosynthetic gene cluster approaches.

A total of 60,928 of ready-to-eat (RTE) food products were collected in retail in Poland, while the number of L. monocytogenes contaminated samples was 67 (0.

Overall, 40% of the isolates were resistant to BC, 56% to cadmium and 41% to arsenic (57% displayed resistance to more than one of the tested compounds). Among BC-resistant isolates, the most commonly detected resistance determinant was the qacH gene (83%).

The samples were collected at retail market within the framework of national official control and monitoring program. In the years 2016-2019 a total of 49 samples out of 8712 collected vegetable samples were positive for L.

Many foodborne outbreaks have been associated with pathogenic bacterial strains that can form a biofilm. The present study was conducted under the Official Control and Monitoring Program in Poland to examine the ability of pathogenic bacteria collected from retail food samples to form biofilms.

Ten different amino acid substitutions were identified in QRDRs.

The incidence of human Campylobacter infection has increased markedly in both developed and developing countries and, more significantly, so has rapid emergence of antibiotic-resistant Campylobacter strains. It is caused by improper applying antibiotics in treating people and too frequent applying these substances in the animal husbandry.
