PSD95 is an abundant scaffolding protein that assembles multiprotein complexes controlling synaptic physiology and behavior. Confocal microscopy has previously shown that PSD95 is enriched in the postsynaptic terminals of excitatory synapses and two-dimensional (2D) super-resolution microscopy further revealed that it forms nanoclusters. In this study, we utilized three-dimensional (3D) super-resolution microscopy to examine the nanoarchitecture of PSD95 in the mouse brain, characterizing the spatial arrangement of over 8 million molecules.

Negative self-perceptions are implicated in the development and maintenance of depression in young people, but little is known about their receptiveness to change in response to treatment. This paper reports on a pre-registered meta-analysis examining the extent to which treatments for depression in young people aged 11-24 result in changes to self-perceptions. Controlled treatment trials examining outcomes related to self-perceptions were synthesised (k = 20, N = 2041), finding small reductions in both symptoms of depression (g = -0.

Treatment options for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are evolving, given recent and expected approvals of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting programmed cell death-(ligand) 1 (PD-1/PD-L1). We retrospectively evaluated outcomes among patients with resected stage IB-IIIA NSCLC tumors expressing PD-L1 using PALEOS (Pan-cAnadian Lung cancEr Observational Study) data (2016-2019). Key outcomes included PD-L1 expression rate and treatment patterns, recurrence, and median overall (mOS) and disease-free survival (mDFS) among PD-L1+ patients.

The non-polymorphic HLA-E molecule offers opportunities for new universal immunotherapeutic approaches to chronic infectious diseases. Chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is driven in part by T cell dysfunction due to elevated levels of the HBV envelope (Env) protein hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). Here we report the characterization of three genotypic variants of an HLA-E-binding HBsAg peptide, Env identified through bioinformatic predictions and verified by biochemical and cellular assays.

A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13  TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Background: Structural variants (SVs) such as deletions, duplications, and insertions are known to contribute to phenotypic variation but remain challenging to identify and genotype. A more complete, accessible, and assessable collection of SVs will assist efforts to study SV function in cattle and to incorporate SV genotyping into animal evaluation.

Results: In this work we produced a large and deeply characterized collection of SVs in Holstein cattle using two popular SV callers (Manta and Smoove) and publicly available Illumina whole-genome sequence (WGS) read sets from 310 samples (290 male, 20 female, mean 20X coverage).
