Development of nano-enabled fertilizers from green waste is one of the effective options to enhance global agricultural productions and minimize environmental pollution. In this study, novel, eco-friendly and cost-effective nano- enabled fertilizers (NEF) were synthesized using the planetary ball milling procedure. The NEF (nDPF1and nDPF2) were prepared by impregnation of nanostructured date palm pits (nDPP) with (KHPO + MgO) at 1:1 and 3:1 (w/w) ratios respectively.

These essential plant nutrients are often applied in excess, leading to environmental pollution and loss of efficiency in crop production. Innovative economic and highly efficient fertilizers are urgently needed to achieve the targeted crop production worldwide in the presence of limited land and water resources.

In the current study, the applicability of water treatment residual nanoparticles (nWTRs) with the particle size ranged from 45 to 96 nm was evaluated for its efficacy in reducing arsenic mobility in clayey and sandy contaminated alkaline soils. Sorption isotherms, kinetics, speciation and fractionation studies were performed.

Therefore, in this study, an inexpensive and eco-friendly nano-adsorbent was produced from the waste of drinking water industry for effective elimination of Cr (VI) from wastewater. The mineralogical and morphological characterization and compositions of the bulk and nano- adsorbents were performed.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA sol-gel method was utilized to prepare a novel nanocomposite adsorbent (nMgO/bentonite) and was tested for Pb(II) removal from aqueous solutions. The produced nanocomposite was investigated using, SEM-EDX, XRD, and FTIR analyses before and after Pb adsorption. Adsorption equilibrium and kinetic experiments were run in batch system under different conditions of pH, adsorbent dose, competitive cations, contact time and temperature.

The current study assessed the nanostructured activated biochar (nPPAB) derived from pomegranate peels (PP) as a promising sorbent for efficient removal of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin (CIP). The results affirm that the second order and Langmuir models fit well to adsorption kinetics and equilibrium data respectively.
