Article Synopsis
  • The study compared the effectiveness of fractional CO and Er:YAG lasers for treating facial wrinkles in a controlled setup involving 40 patients who received treatments on both sides of their face.
  • Results showed both lasers significantly reduced facial wrinkles, with no major difference in effectiveness between them, as judged by independent dermatologists and biomechanical measurements.
  • While both treatments had minimal serious side effects, participants reported more discomfort with the CO laser compared to the Er:YAG laser, suggesting the latter might be more comfortable for patients.
