Riboflavin transporter deficiency (RTD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that presents from infancy to adulthood with a progressive axonal neuropathy characterized by a variety of neurologic symptoms including hearing loss, weakness, bulbar palsy, and respiratory insufficiency. Pathogenic variants in and are implicated in the pathogenesis of RTD type 2 and 3, respectively. Early identification of this disorder is critical, as it is treatable with riboflavin supplementation.
