Aim: This paper is a report of a study exploring the reporting behaviours of nursing students who had experienced verbal abuse while gaining clinical experience.

Background: Under-reporting of incidents of verbal abuse has been identified internationally as a limitation leading to incomplete data collection when researching aggression in healthcare facilities. This can call into question conclusions, recommendations and policy initiatives based on the research.

Background: Interprofessional education (IPE) introduced at the beginning of pre-registration training for healthcare professionals attempts to prevent the formation of negative interprofessional attitudes which may hamper future interprofessional collaboration. However, the potential for IPE depends, to some extent, on the readiness of healthcare students to learn together.

Objectives: To measure changes in readiness for interprofessional learning, professional identification, and amount of contact between students of different professional groups; and to examine the influence of professional group, student characteristics and an IPE course on these scores over time.

Background: The paper is based on a case study, which was part of a Department of Health commissioned research study covering 10 National Health Service (NHS) trusts in England that had adopted a range of approaches to the employment terms and conditions of nurses, midwives, and other non-medical staff, as the precursor to evaluating Agenda for Change, the modernized pay system for the NHS.

Aim: The aim of this paper is to discuss a case study of the effects of changing nurses' pay progression.

Methods: Fieldwork took place in 2000, and included interviews with managers, union representatives and other staff, and analysis of internal documents.
