Wireless capsule endoscopy has revolutionized the diagnostic evaluation of the small intestine and is increasingly used by gastroenterologists. However, complications can occur with this seemingly safe procedure. We report two cases of Crohn's disease in which capsule endoscopy was performed with retention of the capsules.
