Telehealth (TH) broadly encompasses remote activities of clinical care (telemedicine), provider and patient education, and general health services. The use of synchronous video for TH first occurred in 1964 and then catapulted to the forefront in 2020 during the coronavirus disease 2019 public health emergency. Due to the sudden need for increased TH utilization by nearly all health care providers at that time, TH became essential to clinical practice.

Global amphibian declines and extinction events are occurring at an unprecedented rate. While several factors are responsible for declines and extinction, the fungal pathogen () has been cited as a major constituent in these events. While the effects of this chytrid fungus have been shown to cause broad scale population declines and extinctions, certain individuals and relict populations have shown resistance.

Maternal transfer of persistent marine contaminants to offspring via milk has been documented in marine mammals, but temporal dynamics of this phenomenon throughout the lactation period are poorly understood. Exposures to organohalogens were investigated in harbor seal pups admitted to a rehabilitation center in north central California during the lactation periods of 2001 and 2002. Ten congeners of PCBs, three congeners of PBDEs, and p,p'-DDE were quantified in whole blood samples.
