Abiotic stress is responsible for a significant reduction in crop plant productivity worldwide. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a natural component of sunlight and a permanent environmental stimulus. This study investigated the distinct responses of young wheat and einkorn plants to excessive UV-B radiation (180 min at λ 312 nm) following foliar pretreatment with 1 µM synthetic cytokinin 4PU-30.

This study aimed to evaluate the influence of the concentration (0, 1, 10, 50, and 100 mg L) of two types of nanofibers on the growth characteristics, the antioxidant status, and the production of steviol glycosides in micropropagated Bert. plantlets.

This study examined the responses of two hybrid wheat varieties (Gizda and Fermer) with different drought resistance to moderate (3 days) and severe (7 days) drought stress, as well as their post-stress recovery to understand their underlying defense strategies and adaptive mechanisms in more detail. To this end, the dehydration-induced alterations in the electrolyte leakage, photosynthetic pigment content, membrane fluidity, energy interaction between pigment-protein complexes, primary photosynthetic reactions, photosynthetic and stress-induced proteins, and antioxidant responses were analyzed in order to unravel the different physiological and biochemical strategies of both wheat varieties.

This necessitates the use of biotechnological approaches for its mass propagation. Establishing optimal conditions for cultivation is essential for obtaining high biomass and secondary metabolites production.

The steviosides leaves, synthesized at Bertoni, are 300 times sweeter than common table sugar. propagation is limited due to the poor viability of the seeds, the long time and low germination rate, and the poor rooting ability of vegetative cuttings.

Reduced germination and survival rates were observed in ein2-1 plants at increasing NaCl concentrations. By contrast, ctr1-1 mutation conferred salt stress tolerance during early vegetative development, corroborating earlier studies.
