Background: Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a crucial part of the treatment of patients with cardiac diseases, and adherence to healthy behavior is a prerequisite to improve long-term prognosis. Unfortunately, adherence to healthy behavior adapted in CR is challenging for many cardiac patients in the long term. Recently, we demonstrated that follow-up conducted via an app for 1 year significantly improved adherence to healthy behavior after CR.

Background And Purpose: On entering Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR), the female cardiac population shows greater fear of overexertion and sense of uncertainty than similarly affected men. The purpose of this study was to explore how women experienced the recovery process after a cardiac event and what impact the event had on bodily experiences.
Methods: A qualitative, descriptive design, inspired by a phenomenological approach.
Our goal was to elucidate how patients with COPD who successfully maintain a long-term exercise programme understand concordance with maintenance exercise and see potential solutions. The information, collected from 11 individuals through six in-depth interviews and one focus-group interview, was analysed by means of qualitative content analysis. Four themes were identified: (1) perception and acknowledgement of the disease; (2) the personal manner and empowering skills of the therapist; (3) perception of the exercise programme; and (4) left to myself-a pitfall in maintenance.

Birth characteristics, minor abnormalities on the neonatal ultrasound scan of the brain, and motor milestones have only limited value in the early detection of these children. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether nonoptimal reaching and relatively immobile postural behavior at an early age are associated with dysfunctional neuromotor and behavioural development at school age.
