Background: Notwithstanding recent advances in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) management, its mortality rate is still high. It is imperative to investigate new parameters that are complementary to clinical staging for OSCC to provide better prognostic insight. The presence of isolated neoplastic cells or small clusters of up to four cells at the tumor's invasive front, called tumor budding, is a morphological marker of OSCC with prognostic value.

The Prevalence of Clinical Features in Patients with Aarskog-Scott Syndrome and Assessment of Genotype-Phenotype Correlation: A Systematic Review.

Aarskog-Scott syndrome is a genetically and clinically heterogeneous rare condition caused by a pathogenic variant in the FGD1 gene. A systematic review was carried out to analyse the prevalence of clinical manifestations found in patients, as well as to evaluate the genotype-phenotype correlation. The results obtained show that clinical findings of the craniofacial, orthopaedic, and genitourinary tract correspond to the highest scores of prevalence.

Recurrent peripheral ameloblastoma in an elderly patient: A case report.

Objective: To report a case of recurrent peripheral ameloblastoma (PA) in an elderly patient.

Background: PA is a benign tumour that affects soft tissues of gingiva or edentulous alveolar areas, exhibiting histopathological characteristics of ameloblastoma.

Methods: A 79-year-old man showed a nodule in the edentulous right mandibular alveolar ridge diagnosed as recurrent PA.

Peripheral Calcifying Odontogenic Cyst: A rare case report.

The Calcifying Odontogenic Cyst (COC) is a simple cyst lined by ameloblastoma-like epithelium with ghost cells. The peripheral COC is a rare lesion and few reports have been published considering its clinical and histopathological features. This article aimed to report on a case of a peripheral COC, discussing its clinical, imaginological and histopathological features.

Stromal myofibroblasts play an important role in tumor invasion and metastasis, due to its ability to modify the extracellular matrix. This study aimed to evaluate the presence of stromal myofibroblasts in OL and OSCC.
