Objectives: The aim of this research was to acquire knowledge about the female dental workforce, identifying factors to pursue specialty training and career choices and working in dental institutions/associations.
Methods: An original online questionnaire was developed, validated (n = 22), and sent to 189 member associations in 133 countries of the Women Dentists Worldwide section of the FDI World Dental Federation.
Results: In all, 3232 female dentists from 81 countries participated.
Aim: The potential impact of the daytime and season of radiotherapy application on acute and late toxicity burden was analyzed on a cohort of curatively treated head and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients.
Methods: Through a retrospective chart review, patient and tumor characteristics, treatment parameters and outcome were obtained. Patients treated with definitive or adjuvant radiotherapy with and without chemotherapy receiving ≥60 Gy between 2002 and 2015 were included (n = 617).
Objective: Signaling molecules derived from osteocytes have been proposed as a mechanism by which autografts contribute to bone regeneration. However, there have been no studies that determined the role of osteocytes in bone grafts.
Material And Method: Herein, it was examined whether bone chips and demineralized bone matrix release sclerostin and FGF-23, both of which are highly expressed by osteocytes.

Background And Purpose: Autografts are used for bone reconstruction in regenerative medicine including oral and maxillofacial surgery. Bone grafts release paracrine signals that can reach mesenchymal cells at defect sites. The impact of the paracrine signals on osteogenic, adipogenic, and chondrogenic differentiation of mesenchymal cells has remained unclear.
