Introduction: This study evaluated patient-reported outcome measures and reinjury rates in higher-risk adolescents and young adults aged 14-25 years old following Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction using autograft with suture tape augmentation (SA ACLR).

Materials And Methods: We performed a retrospective case series of patients aged 14-25 who underwent SA ACLR by a single surgeon between 2016 and 2020. After a minimum of 2 years of follow-up, data was collected on reinjury and patient reported outcome measures, including Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), Marx Activity Rating Scale (MARS), Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE), and Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAPS).

Article Synopsis
  • The Walch classification is used to assess glenohumeral arthritis but has shown low and inconsistent reliability across studies.
  • A systematic review of literature analyzed the reliability of this classification based on different imaging methods and modifications, including intraobserver and interobserver evaluations.
  • Thirteen articles were reviewed, revealing that reliability scores varied significantly, with no clear patterns linked to imaging modality or the experience level of the raters.

Purpose: Neuroma formation following upper-extremity peripheral nerve injury often results in persistent, debilitating neuropathic pain with a limited response to medical management. Vascularized, denervated muscle targets (VDMTs) offer a newly described surgical approach to address this challenging problem. Like targeted muscle reinnervation and regenerative peripheral nerve targets, VDMTs are used to redirect regenerating axons from an injured nerve into denervated muscle to prevent neuroma formation.

Purpose: To evaluate clinical outcomes and patient-reported outcomes of patients who underwent primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair using suture tape augmentation.

Methods: Patients with a proximal tear of the ACL who underwent primary ACL repair with a minimum 2-year follow-up were included. The exclusion criteria included multiligamentous knee injuries, midsubstance tears, tibial avulsion fractures, and distal tears.
