Is the topical application of sesame oil (Sesamum indicum L.) combined with standard care valuable and safe for managing infusion-related phlebitis: Evidence from a systematic review with meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Objectives: Recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have studied the potential effect of the topical use of sesame oil (SO), obtained from the sesame plant seeds (Sesamum indicum L., Pedaliaceae family), in preventing or alleviating the symptoms of infusion-related phlebitis (IRP); nevertheless, their data are inconsistent. Thus, this review sought to qualitatively and quantitatively synthesize data from all available RCTs concerning the effect of the topical administration of SO on managing IRP.

The effects of hydroxychloroquine on pregnancy outcomes in infertile women: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

A promising strategy for controlling repeated implantation failure (RIF) may be the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). To the best of our knowledge, no systematic review has been conducted on the effects of hydroxychloroquine on pregnancy outcomes. A systematic research of the following electronic databases was conducted: Cochrane, EMBASE-Ovid, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus from inception to December 2021, using the following keywords [hydroxychloroquine] AND [infertility].

Spiritual health mediates the relationship between ego-strength and adjustment to heart disease.

This study aimed to investigate the mediating role of spiritual health in the relationship between ego-strength and adjustment to heart disease. In total, 327 patients with coronary artery disease (138 women, 189 men) completed the Ego-Strength Scale, Adjustment to Illness Scale, and Spiritual Well-Being Scale. Results showed that both ego-strength and spiritual health had a significantly positive correlation with adjustment to heart disease.
