Anti-inflammatory properties of resveratrol in the retinas of type 2 diabetic rats.

Resveratrol (trans-3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) is a nutritional supplement with anti-inflammatory properties. The present study investigated the long-term anti-inflammatory property of resveratrol in the retinas of type 2 diabetic rats. Male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: normal control, diabetic control, resveratrol-treated normal rats and resveratrol-treated diabetic rats.
