Twelve-Year Follow-Up of Laser Frenectomy during Early Mixed Dentition.

Median maxillary labial frenum (MMLF) is one of the oral freni, found on the inner side of the centre of the upper lip. Maxillary midline diastema (MMD) is commonly associated with highly attached frenum, and frenectomy during early mixed dentition is controversial. A 6-year-old boy came with a chief complaint of unpleasant spacing between the two upper front teeth.

Prevalence of Anterior Dental Trauma and Its Associated Factors among Preschool Children Aged 3-5 Years in Khartoum City, Sudan.

Background: Traumatic dental injury (TDI) is a challenging public health problem. Its incidence and prevalence vary within countries, states, and different social groups.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of traumatic dental injuries in primary incisors among 3-5-year-old Sudanese preschool children and associated factors such as age, sex, and size of overjet and anterior open bite.

Dental Erosion and Dentin Hypersensitivity among Adult Asthmatics and Non-asthmatics Hospital-based: A Preliminary Study.

Background: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the airways leading to spasm and swelling of the airways. The medications taken for the treatment of asthma can result in dental erosion and dentin hypersensitivity.

Objectives: The aims of this study were to investigate the severity of dental erosion amongst adult asthmatics according to: gender, type and duration of medication taken and to compare dental erosion and dentin hypersensitivity between asthmatics and non-asthmatics.

Social judgments made by children (10-15 year old) in relation to visible incisors trauma: School-based cross-sectional study in Khartoum state, Sudan.

Background: Dento-alveolar trauma is a very common occurrence in childhood; however, there is a paucity of data about children's judgments in relation to dental status. There is a significant correlation between the children's incisor teeth status and the social judgments made by their peers.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine whether the social attributes of a school child would be influenced by his or her incisor teeth status.
