Cadaveric rib is used as a cartilage source for reconstructive rhinoplasty in patients who lack sufficient native septal cartilage; however, these grafts are known to warp. To measure and compare the biochemical properties of cadaveric rib as related to age, gender, and cortical versus core location. Seven cadaveric rib cartilage specimens were obtained and sectioned into cortical and core segments.

Aim: To develop a measure of the complexity of GP explanations of common mental health problems and to pilot its reliability and validity.
Design Of Study: A qualitative development of the measure, followed by inter-rater reliability and validation pilot studies.

Transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-beta1), the main cytokine involved in liver fibrogenesis, induces expression of the type I collagen genes in hepatic stellate cells by a transcriptional mechanism, which is hydrogen peroxide and de novo protein synthesis dependent. Our recent studies have revealed that expression of type I collagen and matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) mRNAs in hepatic stellate cells is reciprocally modulated. Because TGF-beta1 induces a transient elevation of alpha1(I) collagen mRNA, we investigated whether this cytokine was able to induce the expression of MMP-13 mRNA during the downfall of the alpha1(I) collagen mRNA.

Objective: This study compared the efficacy and tolerability of combination hydrocodone 7.5 mg and ibuprofen 200 mg (HC/IB) with those of combination oxycodone 5 mg and acetaminophen 325 mg (OX/AC) in the treatment of moderate or severe acute low back pain.
