Depression and Anxiety Among COVID-19 Patients Admitted to a "Red Zone" Intensive Care Unit: Do the Factors of Self-Awareness of Somatic Health, Anxiety, and Depression Contribute to the Course of Sars-Cov-2 Infection?

Background: The prevalence of depressive disorders in the general population increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between history of anxiety and depressive disorders and COVID-19 outcome, hospitalization and severity of anxiety and depression, and whether such relationships are explicable by direct impact of the disease.

Subjects And Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey among 98 inpatients in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Clinics of Samara State Medical University.

Rheological properties of blood and parameters of platelets aggregation in arterial hypertension.

The results of some researches specify the important role of blood rheological properties changes in arterial hypertension (AH) pathogenesis. The goal of our study is to investigate the parameters of hemorheology and platelet aggregation in patients with various grade of AH. The study was carried out on 27 patients with grade 1 AH (group 1), 24 patients with grade 2 AH (group 2) and 29 healthy subjects (group 3).

It has been reported that dyslipidemia is associated with rheological and microcirculatory abnormalities in patients with ischaemic heart disease. However, it is not known how this system changes in men and women with ageing. In healthy young and middle-aged subjects the following parameters were evaluated: total plasma cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL-cholesterol levels, deformability of erythrocytes, red blood cell and platelet aggregations, blood and plasma viscosity, neutrophils' cytosolic [Ca2+]i and microviscosity of the bilayer's total lipid phase and the annular near-protein zone of the membranes.

Discriminating tests of information and topological indices. Animals and trees.

In this paper we consider 13 information and topological indices based on the distance in a molecular graph with respect to their discrimination power. The numerical results of discriminating tests on 3490528 trees up to 21 vertices are given. The indices of the highest sensitivity are listed on the set of 1528775 alkane trees.
