Design: Cohort study with long-term follow-up.
Setting: Maternity units in Aberdeen and Birmingham (UK) and Dunedin (NZ).
Background: Pelvic organ prolapse is common, causes unpleasant symptoms and negatively affects women's quality of life. In the UK, most women with pelvic organ prolapse attend clinics for pessary care.

Generic preference-based measures, such as EQ-5D, are often used alongside clinical data measures in RCTs.
