Objectives: Bipolar Disorder (BD) is an important psychiatric disease that progresses with attacks, can be chronic and causes serious mental problems. In this study, we aimed to identify the retinal vascular pathologies in BD patients by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) imaging.
Methods: Retinal vascular analysis from 35 BD patients and 30 healthy controls (HCs) were scanned using the OCTA machine.
Purpose: To compare the results of intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) monotherapy and combined intravitreal bevacizumab and laser photocoagulation (LPC) therapies applied in the same session to patients with aggressive retinopathy of prematurity (A-ROP) in our clinic.
Methods: The study included 67 eyes of 37 patients diagnosed with A-ROP and treated. Forty-nine eyes treated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agent injection monotherapy for A-ROP treatment were included in the first group.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate serum biomarker values measured during second-trimester aneuploidy screening in terms of their predictive ability for the development of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in premature infants.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study evaluated the data of 1985 idiopathic premature infants who underwent ROP screening from 2016 to 2022. The infants were divided into two groups according to the presence of ROP, and those with ROP were further evaluated in two subgroups based on the presence of proliferation.
Purpose: we aimed to report on the optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) outcomes of eight patients with optic disc pit maculopathy (ODP-M) who were treated with 23-gauge pars plana vitrectomy (PPV).
Methods: We examined sixteen eyes of eight patients-eight eyes with ODP-M and eight healthy fellow eyes. Fundus color photography, fundus autofluorescence, fundus fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and OCTA were performed.
Purpose: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and intravitreal antivascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections on the corneal endothelium in the childhood period of patients who have had ROP.
Methods: The material of comparative case-control clinical study consisted of patients followed up with ROP between February 2013 and February 2023. The eyes in the study group were divided into two subgroups consisting of those who received intravitreal anti-VEGF injections (subgroup 1) and those who were followed up only (subgroup 2).
Purpose The purpose of this study is the evaluation of serum biomarker and nuchal translucency (NT) values measured during first-trimester aneuploidy screening in terms of the development of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in premature infants and investigation of whether the development of ROP is associated with these parameters. Methods In this retrospective cohort study, 3,750 premature infants who underwent ROP screening from 2016 to 2021 were identified from the hospital medical record system. Among 2,130 premature babies screened for first-trimester aneuploidy, 166 babies whose mothers had single pregnancies were screened by the same method and showed the same clinical course in both eyes were included in the study.

Materials And Methods: The study included healthcare professionals who presented to the Ophthalmology Clinic of Health Sciences University Antalya Training and Research Hospital, who were scheduled to receive the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The exclusion criteria were any eye pathology (e.
Purpose: The study aimed to evaluate the ocular surface and meibomian gland morphology in electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) smokers.
Methods: The upper and lower eyelids of 25 male e-cigarette smokers and 25 healthy male non-smoker patients were evaluated using Sirius meibography. Meibomian glands loss was automatically calculated using Phoenix meibography imaging software module, with the result obtained as percentage loss.
Purpose: To compare foveal avascular zone (FAZ) area, foveal vascular density (VD), and foveal thickness in pre- and full-term children and to evaluate their relationship with cystoid macular edema (CME) in the prematurity period using spectral domain optical coherence tomography angiography (SD-OCTA).
Methods: OCTA imaging was performed at 4-6 years of age in 90 eyes of 45 prematurely born children and 50 eyes of 25 term children. Subjects were divided into three groups: prematurely born with CME (group 1); prematurely born without CME (group 2); healthy, term children (group 3).
Purpose: To compare the efficacy and refractive outcomes of intravitreal bevacizumab, ranibizumab and aflibercept in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) treatment.
Methods: We analyzed the files of patients treated with intravitreal bevacizumab, ranibizumab and aflibercept for ROP, retrospectively. A total of 187 eyes of 111 patients were included.
Aim: We aimed to investigate the retinal layers and macular capillary structure using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) with acromegaly patients and determine the relationship between OCTA parameters and disease duration, Growth hormone (GH) and Insuline growth factor (IGF - 1) levels.
Patients And Method: Twenty-two patients with acromegaly who were followed up in the endocrinology outpatient clinic of Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Health Training and Research Hospital, were recruited into the study. Healthy control group was consisted of 22 age and gender matched subjects.
Purpose: To compare the visual outcomes and complications of patients who underwent flanged transconjunctival sutureless intrascleral intraocular lens (SIS IOL) implantation after anterior and pars plana vitrectomy.
Methods: All patients who underwent flanged transconjunctival SIS IOL fixation using a 27-gauge needle between September 2017 and November 2019 and were followed up for at least six months were evaluated. The cases in which anterior vitrectomy was performed were classified as Group 1, and those that underwent pars plana vitrectomy were classified as Group 2.

Introduction: A macular hole (MH) is a defect that occurs in the retina and involves all layers. In this study, we aimed to investigate the preoperative and postoperative choriocapillaris blood flow (CBF) changes in patients with MH and the role of CBF in the pathogenesis of the disease using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).
Material Method: This is a retrospective study examining eyes with MH.

Context: Pterygium is a degenerative disease that consists of conjunctival epithelia and fibrovascular tissue. Some studies suggest that there is a defect in the regulation of apoptosis in the epithelial cell cycle characterized by the development of the disease. But, still this matter being debated.

Four days following the injection, retinal imaging demonstrated a yellowish gray blurred mass that extended into the vitreous in the right eye, and the vitreous body was blurred. After two days, despite starting endophthalmitis treatment, there was still no improvement in the retinal lesion.

Background: To evaluate retinal microcirculation in electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) smokers using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).
Methods: OCTA measurements were performed on the left eyes of 21 e-cigarette smokers and 21 healthy controls. Superficial and deep foveal, perifoveal and parafoveal vessel densities, outer retina and choriocapillaris flow area, foveal avascular zone (FAZ), and central macular thickness were evaluated in both groups.

Purpose: To evaluate the changes in intraocular pressure (IOP), central corneal thickness (CCT), axial length, and ocular surface in patients with end-stage renal failure after single-session hemodialysis treatment and to examine the correlation of these findings with systemic hemodynamic parameters.
Patients And Methods: A total of 112 eyes of 112 patients enrolled in a hemodialysis treatment program for three times a week (approximately four hours per session) for at least three months in our hospital between December 2019 and March 2020 were included in the study. Approximately 30 minutes before and after hemodialysis, the best-corrected visual acuity measurement, slit-lamp examination, IOP measurement, and dilated fundus examination with the Goldmann applanation tonometer were performed in all patients.
