A mobile neutron source based on the SbBe reaction.

Optimisation studies on the layout of a SbBe neutron source for application in mobile thermal neutron radiography or tomography measurements have been performed using MCNP and shielding calculations. Results and the actual status in the set-up of the source are presented.

Radiography and tomography with fast neutrons at the FRM-II--a status report.

For the basic instrumentation of the new research reactor FRM-II, Munich, a radiography/tomography facility using fast neutrons is under construction. The main features of the facility and results of simulation studies on characteristic parameters are presented.
