Professional Nursing Communication Competence: Theoretical procedures for instrument development and pilot test.

Aims: To describe the theoretical procedures for the development of the Professional Nursing Communication Competence instrument, determine the content validity and describe the pilot test application.

Background: Measuring instruments must be developed in accordance with the context and communication process by adopting theoretical procedures based on competence structures to support quality patient-centred care and nursing management.

Methods: A methodological study was employed.

Aims: To evaluate and predict the relationship between the implementation of the primary nursing model and the reduction of missed nursing care.

Background: Primary nursing can provide hospital leaders and nursing staff with guidance in implementing safe, patient-centred care, with responsibility and accountability during the nursing process. The implementation can be measured in terms of missed nursing care.

[Education-learning strategies according to nursing students' perception].

The process of teaching consists in determining the entire procedure of education seeking more efficient methods to provide the society of formation. The objective was to evaluate the perception of students of the nursing undergraduate program on the teaching learning strategies experienced. The research is qualitative research which data were collected by a semi-structured interview applied to 12 nursing students.

Performance of nursing auxiliaries and technicians in managing piercing cutting material: a necessary study.

This study aimed to analyze the knowledge of nursing auxiliaries and technicians in handling and disposing of piercing-cutting material and describe their performance. This qualitative-descriptive research was carried out with three nursing auxiliaries and 12 technicians at a medium-size hospital, totaling 15 participants interviewed through a semi-structured script. Discourse was analyzed through the content analysis technique.
