The obtained hydrogels were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), mechanical compression and rheometry. Results showed that the pore structure, viscoelastic behavior and swelling ability significantly influenced by varying lignin content and crosslinker ratio.
