Background: The study aims to examine the possible effect of melatonin against cisplatin-induced submandibular degeneration in experimental rats exploring its ameliorative mechanisms.
Methods: Rats were classified into four experimental groups; control group; melatonin group; cisplatin group; and cisplatin+melatonin group. Submandibular tissues were collected.
(1) Background: Aspirin and clopidogrel have been found helpful in improving clinical outcomes among patients with chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD). However, the evidence on the efficacy of aspirin and/or clopidogrel on clinical outcomes has not been synthesized and summarized in the prior reviews. Hence, we undertook a meta-analysis of the research studies examining the effect of aspirin and/or clopidogrel on varying clinical outcomes among COPD patients; (2) Methods: Using key search terms, we searched databases, including MEDLINE, CINAHL, Google Scholar, and EMBASE to find observational studies and RCTs.

This study aimed to investigate the factors associated with mental illness in patients presenting to a primary healthcare center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Methods: Data were extracted from the electronic health records of 46 primary care centers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from March 2022 to March 2023.

Pregnant women have a higher risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) compared to non-pregnant women, making antibiotics necessary for treatment. However, prescribing antibiotics without culture and sensitivity tests may contribute to antimicrobial resistance. A meta-analysis using R was conducted to determine the prevalence of antibiotic resistance patterns in UTIs among pregnant women.

Methodology: Registration data from 99 PHC centers was used. For each patient visiting a PHC center, information on the number of dental visits was captured.
Background And Objectives: Little is known about the implications of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiONPs) and cadmium chloride (Cd) co-exposure on the male reproductive system in mammals. As a result, this study researched the effects of oral TiONPs and/or Cd exposure on male reproduction and testicular functions. Additionally, a mitigation trial with co-enzyme Q10 (CoQ10) has also been conducted.

Stratification of multimorbidity burden based on sex is crucial to identify and implement targeted prevention and control interventions for chronic diseases.
Objectives: To determine the burden of hypertension, type-2 diabetes mellitus, and obesity; and to compare the related multimorbidity among male and female patients.
The impact of continuing job education and professional development on early exit from the labor market is unclear. This systematic review examined how continuing job education or professional development influences the retention of current employment. We searched the PubMed and Embase databases from their start dates to January 2023.

Being an X-linked disorder, the disease is more common among males than females. Various Arab countries estimated the prevalence of G6PD deficiency; however, findings from different countries have not been synthesized collectively.

Moreover, the probable ameliorative impact of gallic acid (GA) against ZNPs and ATO-induced hepatotoxicity and the possible underlying mechanisms were evaluated.
Methods: Sixty male Sprague Dawley rats were distributed into six groups.
Ischaemic mononeuropathy (IMN) is a rarely reported type of peripheral neuropathy secondary to an ischaemic injury, due to a complication of haemodialysis access. Although underreported, this phenomenon typically occurs in diabetic patients and may reflect the predisposition to neuropathic injury on a background of chronic deleterious changes in the microvasculature in diabetes. It is characterised by mononeuropathic features such as paraesthesia, pain and motor weakness and usually is reported as a rare complication of brachiocephalic fistula.

Hence, this study aimed to investigate the effect of long-term exposure to five food preservatives (potassium sorbate (PS), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), sodium benzoate (SB), calcium propionate (CP), and boric acid (BA)) on the liver and kidney in rats and the probable underlying mechanisms. For 90 days, sixty male albino rats were orally given either water (control), 0.

There is no robust quantitative evidence of the association between the COVID - 19 vaccine and menstrual irregularities. A meta-analysis was performed to estimate the pooled prevalence of a range of menstrual disorders that may occur in women following COVID - 19 vaccination.

However, according to previously published research and meta-analyses, cigarette smoking has a significant inverse association with prostate cancer incidence. Therefore, this study aims to investigate this association based on updated evidence by conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis.

A series of pyrazole, imidazopyrazolone, and pyrazolopyrimidine derivatives were designed and synthesized by reaction of 3,5-diamino-1H-pyrazole derivative with cyclic and acyclic carbonyl reagents. The structure of the newly synthesized derivatives were fully characterized using different spectroscopic data and elemental analysis, and therefore, evaluated as COX-2 inhibitors.

Rats were weighed and allocated to seven groups (n = 10 each) and were treated orally via orogastric gavage for 60 successive days: rats of the 1st group were kept as control given distilled water (1 ml/kg), rats of the 2nd group received 2 ml/kg BW/day corn oil; rats of the 3rd group were administered 20 mg/kg BW QCN/day; rats of the 4th group received 100 mg/kg BW AlONPs; rats of the 5th group received 50 mg/kg BW Pb; rats of the 6th group co-received AlONPs and Pb at the same previous doses; and rats of the 7th group were co-administered AlONPs, Pb, and QCN at the same previous doses. At the end of the experiment, serum levels of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total, direct, indirect bilirubin, triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL, VLDL, and LDL were estimated.
