Controversial reports exist on the role of the transcription factor nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) in p53-mediated apoptosis, depending on the cell type and experimental conditions. Therefore, we sought to elucidate the role of NF-kappaB in p53-mediated neuron death.
