So, in this context, the 50PO-20ZnF-15MgF-15PbF doped different concentrations of NiO ranging from 0 up to 4 mol% as a bandpass filter was prepared using the conventional melt annealing method. Prediction of neurosensory disorders after impacted third molar extraction based on cone beam CT Maglione's classification: A pilot study.

Background: Surgical difficulty assessment in the extraction of impacted mandibular third molars is a constant challenge for oral surgeons.

Aim: The first aim was to apply Maglione's new classification on patients that needed surgical extraction of impacted mandibular third molars, and the second aim was to study the correlation of the classification classes with the occurrence of postoperative neurosensory disorders.

Case Report: An association of the gubernacular canal, supernumerary tooth and odontoma with an impacted canine on cone-beam computed tomography.

This report describes a clinical case of asymptomatic compound odontoma in the anterior left side of the maxilla associated with an impacted canine and supernumerary tooth with a gubernacular canal of a 47- year-old female with no relevant medical history. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) was performed for precise three-dimensional localization of each structure and assessment of their spatial relationship with the associated structures before surgery. The treatment protocol involved surgical enucleation of the odontoma and open extraction of both impacted and supernumerary teeth.

Case Report: Ectopic third molar in the maxillary sinus with infected dentigerous cyst assessed by cone beam CT.

Ectopic development of teeth in nondental areas is uncommon, especially in the maxillary sinus. A panoramic radiograph is the routine diagnostic radiographic examination performed for this type of eruption, although cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is highly recommended for further localization of the ectopic tooth and assessment of the characteristics of any associated lesion before a surgical procedure. Relationship of Mandibular Ramus Dimensions to Lower Third Molar Impaction.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the mandibular ramus features that could contribute to the etiology of mandibular third molar impaction.

Materials And Methods: Two hundred and forty subjects were divided into two groups: impacted group: 115 subjects presented with an impacted mandibular third molar, and control group: 125 subjects with the normal mandibular third molar eruption. Digital panoramic radiographs were used, and four angular and twelve linear measurements were done.

Incidental cone beam computed tomographic findings among Taibah University patients, KSA: A retrospective study.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the prevalence, type, and location of incidental findings by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans. This study was performed to diagnose dental problems in the female population at Taibah University Dental Clinics (TUDC), KSA.

Methods: A series of 150 consecutive CBCT scans were identified between January 2014 and February 2016.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of three diagnostic sonographic methods, greyscale sonography (GSS), colour Doppler sonography (CDS) and spectral Doppler (SPD), in differentiating between benign and malignant salivary gland (SG) tumours.

Methods: 44 patients with SG masses were examined using GSS, CDS and SPD. The morphological features of each tumour were evaluated using GSS, the distribution and number of detected blood vessels were assessed using CDS, and peak systolic velocity (PSV), resistive index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) were measured on SPD.

New selective, precise, and accurate methods are described for the determination of a ternary mixture containing drotaverine hydrochloride (I), caffeine (II), and paracetamol (III). The first method uses the first (D1) and third (D3) derivative spectrophotometry at 331 and 315 nm for the determination of (I) and (III), respectively, without interference from (II). Development of membrane electrodes for the selective determination of hyoscine butylbromide.

Four polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane sensors for the determination of hyoscine butylbromide are described and characterized. The sensors are based on the use of the ion association complexes of hyoscine cation with ammonium reineckate counter anions as ion exchange sites in the PVC matrix. The membranes incorporate ion association complexes of hyoscine with dibutylsebathete (sensor 1), dioctylphthalate (sensor 2), nitrophenyl octyl ether (sensor 3) and beta-cyclodextrin (sensor 4).

A binary mixture of hyoscine butylbromide and ketoprofen was determined by 4 different methods. The first involved determination of hyoscine butylbromide and ketoprofen using the ratio-spectra first-derivative spectrophotometric technique at 211 and 234 nm over the concentration ranges of 2-14 and 5-45 microg/mL with mean accuracies 99.84 +/-0.

Application of new membrane selective electrodes for the determination of drotaverine hydrochloride in tablets and plasma.

The construction and electrochemical response characteristics of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) membrane sensors for the determination of drotaverine hydrochloride were described. The sensors are based on the use of the ion association complexes of drotaverine cation with sodium phosphotungestate (Dro-PTA) or ammonium reineckate (Dro-R) counter anions as ion exchange sites in the PVC matrix. The performance characteristics of these sensors, which were evaluated according to IUPAC recommendations, reveal a fast, stable and linear response for drotaverine over the concentration range 10(-5) to 10(-2) M with cationic slopes of 49.

Hallucinogenic receptor models: interaction of imidazolium chloride with amphetamine analogs.

The interactions of several hallucinogenic phenethylamines with the biologically relevant electron acceptor imidazolium chloride have been investigated by monitoring phenethylamine 1H NMR chemical shift changes upon complex formation. Methoxy- and methylenedioxy-substituted phenethylamines interact with imidazolium chloride to form weak charge-transfer complexes that have a relatively narrow range of association constants. The results indicate the formation of a ternary complex in which a chloride ion is hydrogen bonded to a N+H side chain proton of the drug and a NH imidazolium proton.

Determination of quaternary ammonium surfactants in pharmaceutical formulations by the hypochromic effect.

A spectrophotometric procedure for determination of the quaternary ammonium salts cetrimide (N,N,N-trimethyl-l-hexadecylammonium bromide), cetylpyridinium chloride (l-hexadecyl-pyridinium chloride) and sapamine [N-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)oleamide acetate] in bulk form and some pharmaceutical formulations, such as eye-drops, disinfectant solutions, creams and tablets, is described. Following TLC separation when necessary, addition of an aqueous solution of the active surfactant to a standard amount of Bromothymol Blue, buffered at pH 7.5, leads to an equivalent decrease of the absorbance at 610 nm, which can be taken as an analytical measure of the drug concentration.
