Background: Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is a persistent skin condition with no known cause or trigger. The unpredictability of CSU attacks lowers patients' quality of life. NOD-like receptor pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) gene dysregulation can result in numerous immunological and inflammatory diseases.

Introduction: Despite years of efforts to develop new antibiotics for eradicating multidrug-resistant (MDR) and multi-virulent Methicillin-Resistant (MRSA) and Vancomycin-Resistant (VRSA) infections, treatment failures and poor prognoses in most cases have been common. Therefore, there is an urgent need for new therapeutic approaches targeting virulence arrays. Our aim is to discover new anti-virulence therapies targeting MRSA and VRSA virulence arrays.

We study the effect of reactant ratio and reaction temperature on the magnetization of the produced nanoparticles and their crystal structure. We found that for optimal metal concentrations, magnetic saturation increases with increase in the concentration of capping and reducing agents but decreases as the temperature of the reaction increases.

Methods: Thirty male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly allocated to three groups: the normal control group; the Cup group, in which Cup was administrated at a dose of 450 mg/kg per day orally via gastric gavage for 5 weeks; and the Cup + LC group, which received the same dose of Cup as the Cup group, except that the rats were treated additionally with LC 100 mg/kg/day orally for 5 weeks. The nerve conduction (NCV) in isolated sciatic nerves was measured; then, the sciatic nerves were isolated for H&E staining and electron microscope examination.
Objective: To investigate the effect of vanillic acid (VA) on a Cuprizone (Cup) demyelinating rat model and the mechanisms behind such effect.
Methods: Thirty adult male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups: control, Cuprizone, and VA groups. Cuprizone was administrated at a dose of 450 mg/kg per day orally via gastric gavage for 5 weeks.
Objective: This study investigates the influence of aerobic exercise training on inhibitory control of executive functions in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.
Design: Single-blind randomized controlled trial.
Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic.
Heavy metals are considered the most common pollutants in industrial wastewater areas. Out of thirty bacterial isolates, only 3 isolates sighted the highest metal resistance activity for Zn, Fe, Pb, Co, Mn, Ni, and Cd. The biochemical and DNA homology identification with similarities 99.

Fungal skin diseases are recognized as a global burden disease that affect human quality adjusted life. Terbinafine belongs to allylamine and broad-spectrum antifungal drugs but considered practically insoluble. Different lipids/surfactant with two different molar ratios were investigated with Span 40-based niosomes; characterized for size, morphology, loading capacity (EE%), release, kinetics, and antifungal activities.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTreating and reusing wastewater has become an essential aspect of water management worldwide. However, the increase in emerging pollutants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are presented in wastewater from various sources like industry, roads, and household waste, makes their removal difficult due to their low concentration, stability, and ability to combine with other organic substances. Therefore, treating a low load of wastewater is an attractive option.

Chromium is a common industrial pollutant that has been linked to kidney disease. The present work was designed for the investigation of the UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS metabolite profile of the ethanolic extract (LME), along with assessing the mechanistic protective actions of LME and its nano-silver formulation (LMNS) against KCrO-induced nephrotoxicity in rats.

Polymorphisms in NLRP3 genes could lead to immune dysregulation. This case-control study aimed to assess the association between NLRP3 inflammasome (rs10754558) gene polymorphism in AD and the incidence and severity of the disease.
