Cystic malignant pheochromocytomas are uncommon. Differing from solid pheochromocytomas, which produce catecholamines and present adrenergic syndrome, cystic pheochromocytomas, may not produce these. Preoperative diagnosis may be difficult.

Liposarcomas are common soft tissue of the retroperitoneum and the limbs. They are rarely found in the greater omentum. Once in the peritoneum, these can become enormous and can be mistaken for ovarian mass.
