Background: The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected populations of all age groups. The elderly are a high-risk group and are highly vulnerable to COVID-19. Assistive software chatbots can enhance the mental health status of the elderly by providing support and companionship.

This study investigates primary caregiver perspectives on long-term experiences of caring for individuals with schizophrenia in Thailand. Study participants were 30 caregivers in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area (BMA). Data were collected by semi-structured qualitative interview and analyzed by thematic analysis.
