Healthcare leaders must be proactive and forward-thinking about their technology investments because the financial investment for technology innovation can be significant. Healthcare leaders must deliberately design the role of technology and develop a consistent method for evaluating, identifying, and prioritizing technology investments.

The Discontinuation Rate With Collagenase Clostridium histolyticum for Peyronie's Disease in a High-volume Practice Is Unexpectedly High: Identifying Opportunities for Patient Care Improvement.

Objective: To elucidate reasons for premature discontinuation of Collagenase Clostridium histolyticum (CCH) injections for the treatment of penile curvature associated with Peyronie's disease.

Methods: A database of men who underwent CCH injections at a single institution was queried to identify men who completed fewer than 8 injections. Chart review was conducted to identify reasons for treatment discontinuation.

Integrated Urology and Primary Care Model Improves Outcomes for Men With Testosterone Deficiency.

Introduction: Many men presenting with testosterone deficiency do not have access to a primary care provider. We sought to integrate primary care into initial urological evaluation to better identify and manage undertreated comorbidities.

Methods: New patients presenting with testosterone deficiency were offered primary care provider evaluation within a men's health center between October 2019 and 2022.

Since then, several types of implants have been developed including malleable implants, two-piece inflatable implants, and three-piece inflatable implants.

A narcotic free pathway for postoperative pain following urethroplasty.

Introduction: In an effort to decrease physician contribution to the opioid crisis, we utilized a narcotic free pathway (NFP) after urethroplasty. Our objectives were to demonstrate feasibility of a NFP and identify patients at higher risk for requiring postoperative narcotics.

Materials And Methods: We implemented a NFP for patients undergoing urethroplasty.

The use of esketamine sedation in the emergency department for manipulation of paediatric forearm fractures: A 5 year study.

The purpose of this study is to assess the use of esketamine as procedural sedation for the reduction of paediatric forearm fractures in the emergency department (ED). A retrospective analysis was undertaken of forearm fractures between 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2016 which were treated with manipulation in ED using esketamine sedation. Patient demographics and fracture configuration were collected.

Unusual presentation of sunburn.

We present three cases of sunburn to the head, presenting with oedema of the face in children aged 6, 9 and 13 years. Oedema was predominantly on the forehead and temporal region; a direct effect of gravity was associated with erythema of the scalp. Sunburn healed without any complications.
