Purpose: To evaluate the 12-month effects of intravitral ranibizumab (IVR) injections on the physiology and morphology of the macula in eyes with a branch retinal vein occlusion with macular edema (BRVOME).
Methods: We studied 13 eyes of 13 patients with a BRVOME. All patients were initially treated with IVR injections at 3 consecutive monthly intervals, the initiation phase.
Purpose: To determine the physiology of the macula by the focal macular electroretinograms (fmERGs) in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion with macular edema (BRVOME) treated by intravitreal injections of ranibizumab (IVR).
Methods: We studied 17 eyes of 17 patients with BRVOME. The contralateral unaffected eyes served as controls.

Purpose: To report the findings in five patients of Purtscher-like retinopathy that developed after cerebro- or cardiovascular surgeries.
Observations: Three women and two men with a mean age of 56.6 years were studied.
Purpose: This study was conducted for the purpose of comparing differences in the types of free radicals in the aqueous humor of glaucoma and cataract patients.
Subjects And Methods: Free radicals in the aqueous humor of 44 glaucoma eyes and 15 cataract eyes were measured by electron spin resonance (ESR), followed by comparing the detection rates. In addition, subgroup analyses were also conducted for the presence or absence of complications of diabetes mellitus (DM) and neovascular glaucoma (NVG) in the patients.
Purpose: To clarify the presence of oxidative stress in glaucoma and discuss whether free radicals contribute to neovascular glaucoma (NVG) and non-NVG.
Methods: Two patient groups were formed: the NVG group (n = 10) and the non-NVG group (n = 17). Free radicals in aqueous humor were detected by measuring the electron spin resonance (ESR).
