This investigation aims at synthesizing and characterizing a biocomposite of hydroxyapatite (HA) and titanium (Ti) as a functionally graded material (FGM) via an economical powder metallurgy route. Ti particles were produced through drilling and chipping, followed by compaction and sintering. Ti foams, so obtained, were then infused with varying volume fractions of HA.

This article aims to investigate the analytical nature and approximate solution of the radiated flow of electrically conductive viscous fluid into a porous medium with slip effects (RFECVF). In order to build acceptable accurate solutions for RFECVF, this study presented an efficient Levenberg-Marquardt technique of artificial neural networks (LMT-ANNs) approach. One of its fastest back-propagation algorithms for nonlinear lowest latency is the LMT.

In the present study, SeNPs were synthesized using leaf extracts and investigated for growth promotion in wheat under the biotic stress of spot blotch disease. The phytosynthesized SeNPs were characterized using UV-visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), and Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The in vitro efficacy of different concentrations of phytosynthesized SeNPs (i.

In this study, selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) and cerium oxide nanoparticles (CeONPs) were synthesized by using the extract of leaves, and rhizomes, respectively, and investigated for the biological and sustainable control of yellow, or stripe rust, disease in wheat. The green synthesized NPs were characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The SeNPs and CeONPs, with different concentrations (i.

Natural soil (NS)-based geopolymers (GPs) have shown promise as environmentally friendly construction materials. The production of ordinary Portland cement is known to release significant amounts of greenhouse gas (CO) into the atmosphere. The main objective of this work is to synthesize a geopolymer (GP) from an uncommon aluminosilicate-based NS and a sodium silicate (SS) activating solution that would not only minimize the emission of harmful gases, but also offer improved mechanical strength.

The present study aims to extract a natural reddish brown colorant from Peepal (Ficus religiosa) for silk dyeing using the microwave radiation process (MW). The colorant was isolated in aqueous and acidic media, and MW treatment for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 min has been given to both fabric and extract to observe changes in color intensity. The dye variables have been optimized, and for sustainable shade making process with good fastness, 1.

This case report puts an emphasis on retaining and re-fixing any avulsed bony segments in the maxillofacial region and maintaining the periosteal layer whenever possible, especially in young patients. Adequate bony fixation and watertight soft tissue closure are vital components for bone healing. The healing potential of facial bones is much higher as compared to the long bones, due to the superior blood supply.

Person re-identification (re-ID) is among the essential components that play an integral role in constituting an automated surveillance environment. Majorly, the problem is tackled using data acquired from vision sensors using appearance-based features, which are strongly dependent on visual cues such as color, texture, etc., consequently limiting the precise re-identification of an individual.

Objectives: Objective • Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is an important tool in the assessment of treatment outcomes. Healthcare professionals use the concept of HRQoL to measure factors other than illness which affect human health and its status. Patient's everyday activities are adversely affected by hypertension (HTN) and results in decreased self-confidence.

MRSA has become a major cause of nosocomial and community acquired infections in the past few years. Our hypothesis is that MRSA colonisation affects the length of stay in hospital, thereby adding a strain on resources. Data from the last 20 patients admitted to the Spinal Injury Care Unit (SICU) who were MRSA positive (study group) have been analysed and then matched with data from 20 patients who were MRSA negative (control group) to compare their total hospital stay and the factors which affect the length of hospital stay.
