To assess the use of miniaturized percutaneous nephrolithotomy (mini-PCNL) for renal stones in children, as well as its safety and efficacy. Seventy-seven patients with more than 15 mm renal stones whose age was less than 15 years were enrolled in this prospective case-controlled study at Al-Ramadi Teaching Hospital, Ar Razi Private Hospital, and Ghazi Al-Hariri Hospital for Surgical Specialties, Anbar and Baghdad, Iraq. To evaluate the impact of nutritional knowledge following interventional educational sessions in chronic dialysis patients, we studied 40 children on chronic regular hemodialysis (HD) at the beginning and after six months of nutrition educational sessions using a predesigned questionnaire. We also measured the anthropometric parameters of nutrition to evaluate the impact of this education on the health of patients. We found a highly statistically significant increase in patients' scores and in adequate knowledge using the questionnaire after the educational sessions.

Results: A 46-year-old woman had an unrelated commercial renal transplant in 2003.
The spectrum of tropical nephropathies includes Acute Renal Failure (ARF) or Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) due to infective agents that are endemic in the tropics which include Leptospira (LS) and Dengue Viruses (DV). The major histological feature is Acute Tubular Necrosis (ATN).(1, 2)We report the case of a patient who presented ARF with co-infection with both agents.
