The novelty of this study is the examination of this phenomenon based on sum score, no such papers can be found in the literature. Ductal cancers have higher score values indicating easier diagnostics, but the difference in distribution of the scores was significant (p = 0.

It is important to differentiate RS from concomitant malignancies, which occur in 20-30% of patients, or from small stellate carcinomas which give similar radiomorphology.

Seventy cytological reports of intracystic proliferations were selected from our cytopathological database at the Breast Health Corporation, Budapest, Hungary, dating back to the last 7 years. Retrospective analysis of the diagnostic approaches--mammography, ultrasonography, clinical examination and cytology--was performed in selected cases.

Purpose: To evaluate the possible effects of peri- and postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on the mammographic density in the different types of parenchymal patterns.
Patients And Methods: During a period of 7 years (average: 3.
Background: Invasive lobular carcinoma accounts for 5-10% of all breast cancers and is associated with subtle clinical and mammographic changes. It is also frequently multifocal and traditional diagnostic methods are unable to reliably detect this preoperatively. The aim of the study was to evaluate the ability of current imaging modalities to detect and analyze invasive lobular carcinomas as compared to invasive ductal carcinomas.

However hemobilia is usually iatrogenic or traumatic, it can originate as a result of inflammation or may be caused by tumors. Authors present the case of a 46-year-old man, who developed hemobilia as a vascular complication of chronic pancreatitis.

Among them there were only 35 strains of S. aureus having an inhibition zone diameter of 15 mm or less, and 4 strains of coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS) having a zone diameter of 18 mm or less to 1-microg oxacillin disk.

No methicillin-resistant staphylococci harbouring mecA gene were isolated from animals in 2001. Penicillin resistance, mediated by penicillinase production, was the most frequent among Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from humans (96%), from bovine mastitis (55%), from foods (45%) and from dogs.

Herein we report further cases from Greece and the results of the molecular analysis of Onchocerca sp. removed from Greek dogs and its Wolbachia endosymbionts.

This parasite may be spreading eastward because the population of foxes has increased as a consequence of human interventions, and this spread may result in the emergence of alveolar echinococcosis in Central Eastern Europe.

Cryptosporidia, widely distributed protozoan parasites of vertebrates have recently attracted increasing interest due to several serious waterborne outbreaks, the life-threatening nature of infection in immunocompromised patients, and the realization of economic losses caused by these pathogens in livestock. Genetic polymorphism within Cryptosporidium spp. is being detected at a continuously growing rate, owing to the widespread use of modern molecular techniques.

The morphology of Onchocerca lupi, responsible for canine ocular onchocercosis, is unique within the genus. Earlier analyses of the 5S ribosomal RNA gene spacer region sequence of the parasite and the 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequence of its Wolbachia endosymbiotic bacteria (Rickettsiales) supported the morphological and biological arguments that O. lupi is a distinct species.

In the acute stage of the disease severe inflammation of the ocular and periocular tissues was observed. In chronic cases, the strongly coiled, gravid nematodes were incorporated in pea- to bean-sized granulomatous nodules in various parts of the eye, including the retrobulbar space, orbital fascia, eyelid, third palpebra, conjunctiva and sclera.

This study also aims to serve as a model for polyphasic (phenetic and genetic) characterization of Cryptosporidium species and strains. On the basis of these results, further genetic and phenetic characterization of an avian isolate is needed if the difference between the length or width, or both, of oocysts of an isolate and of C.

Herein, we report the electron microscopic and 16S ribosomal DNA-based (16S rDNA) identification of the endobacteria harboring in Onchocerca lupi. The worm nodules containing the nematodes were removed from three Hungarian dogs naturally infected with O.
