Hyaluronan (HA) is a central component of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in the brain and plays a pivotal role in neural development and plasticity. Brain HA exists in 2 distinct forms of the ECM: the diffuse ECM, which is soluble in saline and detergents, and the condensed ECM, which forms aggregates, such as perineuronal nets (PNNs). Biodegradative characteristics were investigated for the commercially available mixtures of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) Trikhlorbifenil and Sovol degraded by the Rhodococcus wratislaviensis КT112-7, Rhodococcus wratislaviensis CH628 and Rhodococcus ruber P25 strains isolated from the natural habitats. For bioutilization of the Trikhlorbifenil, all three strains were found to have a high biodegrading potential: the complete destruction was achieved in 10-14 days. For the mixture Sovol, the bioutilization parameters were found to be of lower values: the degradation of the PCBs congeners was 96-98% after 14 days.

Excited-state dynamics of pentafluorobenzene is studied in detail for a quartic vibronic coupling model including the six b1 vibrational modes of the molecule and the two lowest excited electronic states. The study analyzes the influence of the large-amplitude out-of-plane vibrational motion on the electronic dynamics and extends to the simulation of the emerging time-resolved photoelectron spectra. The mapping of coherent non-separable electron-nuclear motion into oscillatory photoelectron signals is discussed.
